Biography

Meet Connor Cox, our experienced financial planner dedicated to helping clients develop personalized investment strategies and providing comprehensive financial advice. Connor is an integral part of our investment committee and spearheads the firm’s financial planning engagements. With a focus on simplifying the financial lives of our clients, Connor is committed to helping them achieve their financial goals.

Industry Related Experience:

Before joining ProffittGoodson, Connor served as a Financial Planner at The Trust Company of Tennessee, where he spearheaded initiatives to enhance tax planning best practices and implemented various financial planning tools to improve tax and financial planning services firm-wide. He also completed the Financial Planning Association Residency Program, attending the fall 2022 session, where he gained valuable insights from industry thought leaders through an immersive learning experience.

Education & Certifications:

Connor holds a BS in Business Administration with a focus on Management from the University of Tennessee, Martin (2018), and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2020). He has also earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from Emory University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) certified by the CFP Board of Standards.

Outside of ProffittGoodson:

In his free time, Connor serves as a board member and treasurer for the East Tennessee chapter of the Financial Planning Association. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son, Liam, as well as indulging in his hobbies which include cooking, playing golf, and cheering for UT sports and the Atlanta Braves.
